Aggreko has expanded its Canadian rental fleet with three Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed for remote work sites, offered in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW capacities at 600V. The models are reserved for Canadian contractors and configured to meet the country's market and regulatory requirements.
All three units are CSA and UN31A compliant, covering Canada's electrical and fuel regulations. Aggreko says they carry its latest generator technologies to deliver reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial duties.
The three models are intended to supply temporary power where grid connections are limited or impractical, a situation common on remote Canadian job sites. Aggreko says the units are engineered to meet and exceed local market needs and requirements.
Direct 600V output on the largest unit
The 1200 kW model includes onboard 600V capability, removing the need for additional step-up transformers. Aggreko says the direct output lowers project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and reduces potential points of failure. The company says that direct 600V output gives customers a competitive edge, particularly for the large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.
"Tailoring our most advanced generators for our Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market for Aggreko," said Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast, remote territories, along with active construction and data centre sectors, as evidence of clear Canadian demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured. The Canadian Tier 4 Final generators pair that technology with hardware tailored to local operating conditions, he said.
Deployment and applications
The 145 kW and 210 kW units are canopy-mounted and ready for immediate deployment, while the 1200 kW model targets large industrial loads. Aggreko describes the smaller units as suited to urgent on-site energy needs and the largest as built for heavy industrial demand. The additions extend the company's Canadian fleet, which spans 25 kW to 1200 kW. Through its network of Canadian service centres, Aggreko's energy specialists work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events on temporary power projects.
Aggreko states that all three generators offer strong fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and tightly controlled noise levels that exceed local requirements. The company sees particular potential in Canada's growing data centre sector: as provincial regulators seek to limit the power data centre operators draw from the grid, the Tier 4 Final units can provide off-grid energy that keeps facilities running with minimal disruption to surrounding communities.
