Gurgaon, India-based Apollo Tyres Ltd reported consolidated revenue of Rs 7,968 crores for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026, an increase of 17% from Rs 6,831 crores in the same period a year earlier. The company's board approved the unaudited results for the quarter and for the first half of the 2026-27 financial year.

Operating profit for the quarter was Rs 855 crores. Net profit rose 13% to Rs 292 crores from Rs 258 crores, Apollo said. The quarterly net profit included an estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores, which the company disclosed as an exceptional item.

For the six months from April to September, consolidated revenue increased 15% to Rs 15,366 crores from Rs 13,392 crores. Operating profit was Rs 1,723 crores, and net profit was Rs 641 crores, compared with Rs 271 crores in the same period of the previous fiscal year. The half-year result also included the estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores as an exceptional item.

Apollo said its Indian operations carried forward their strong revenue growth momentum into the second quarter, reflecting the effectiveness of its growth initiatives.

Chairman Onkar Kanwar said growth across categories in India had been supported by the company's sustained rural expansion efforts and a strategic association with cricket. He added that new product launches in the commercial vehicle segment in India had strengthened performance during the past quarter.

Kanwar also pointed to external pressure. He said geopolitical tensions in West Asia remained a headwind, resulting in elevated input costs and supply chain disruptions.

The board separately approved the appointment of Ravi Kumar Shingari as chief financial officer, effective November 4, 2026. Shingari joined Apollo Tyres in 2018 as group head of finance and has held responsibilities across budgeting, accounts and investor relations. More recently, he was given additional responsibility for legal affairs.

Before joining Apollo, Shingari spent more than 16 years at KPMG, where his last assignment was partner for tax and regulatory services. He is a chartered accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in commerce, B.Com (H), from Shri Ram College of Commerce at Delhi University.

In the CFO role, Shingari will report directly to Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director.

The announcement did not quantify the impact of the West Asian tensions or provide a breakdown of growth by product category or region. Apollo Tyres reported the financial figures on a consolidated basis.
