Mace Construct will adopt the name Forco after the new year, the UK contractor has announced. The business said the new name is “short, impactful and easy to pronounce.” It will continue to trade as Mace Construct until the new year, then operate as Forco alongside a new corporate strategy and productivity targets through to 2030.

The change follows the separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two businesses in March. Under that arrangement, Mace Consult retained the Mace brand. The contractor is positioning the Forco name around a forward-looking identity and productivity goals, while stressing continuity for clients and staff.

Leadership cites continuity

Mark Reynolds, Executive Chair, said Mace Construct—soon to be Forco—had spent 35 years raising standards and helping drive the industry forward. He said the new name represents a commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.

Reynolds also said the qualities that made Mace Construct one of the UK’s most respected contractors would remain: its culture, values and the people behind its success. Clients, he said, can expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last.

The new corporate strategy is set to be unveiled alongside the productivity targets through to 2030.
